About Alexander

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas to Angela and Garry. My love of sports mainly came from my dad. Coming from Wisconsin, he imparted his love of all things Cheesehead on me. My Mom is a native Houstonian, so she had to be persuaded over the years. She is, however, an avid Astros supporter.

Welcome To My Space

ALEXANDER G. LANDOWSKI

I loved growing up in a huge city because of the big melting pot that Houston is. Surrounded by diversity and different cultures has taught me so much about worldly issues. When my friends are at my house, it really does look like the United Nations.

Travel was and is still a big part of my upbringing. If I had to choose a favorite destination, I would probably say Africa. However, there are so many close seconds. We incorporate travel with sports too. Many Final Fours and other rounds of the NCAA tournament, a Super Bowl, Roland Garros, World Series, to name a few. Fun fact – I have been to 26 baseball stadiums. We have gone to one or two a season since I was 3 years old and are hoping to finish the last four within the next couple of years.

I played baseball and basketball growing up. When my playing days ended, I knew I wanted to keep sports front and center in my life, other than just watching at home. That is when I combined my storytelling and writing skills with sports. Selecting the University of Missouri was a great choice for me. I have learned the technical aspects of reporting and broadcasting from talented educators in the journalism school and have gained authentic professional experience from KOMU-8 along the way.

My goal after graduation is to continue to tell the compelling sports stories of a region to adequately and completely inform the viewers of that broadcast community.
